Like Maximum Ride before it, Daniel X is set to be one of the hottest properties in fiction and film rights were snapped up even before the first book was published.
New Regency – the film-making company behind recent blockbusters such as Mr & Mrs Smith, Jumper, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Big Momma 2 and Man on Fire will make the film, which is currently scheduled to hit cinema screens in 2010.
